MultiMech employs a unique, micromechanics based approach to composite analysis.
It's part Finite-Element-Squared, part traditional multiscale, borrowing techniques from both. This combination gives users the flexibility and accuracy of FE^2 with the speed and user-friendliness of traditional multiscale.
The software makes no simplifications on deformation or failure modes, and uses proprietary techniques for
- creating realistic, non-idealized mircrostructural RVES
- modeling local scale damage
- homogenizing RVE properties (done 6x faster and 10x more accurately than Periodic Boundary Conditions homogenization)
- linking local and global scales in a multiscale analysis
